High in the mountains of Washington's Olympic National Park is a little slice of shred-heaven called Hurricane Ridge. It's one of only two ski areas that operate within a national park (Badger Pass in Yosemite being the other). In 2011 Cash and I explored the backcountry surrounding Hurricane Ridge with a crew from Mervin MFG., including founder Pete Saari, and Gnu riders Temple Cummins and Forrest Burki. The snow was awesomely deep. This remains one of my favorite trips to date.
