Sydney just wrapped up their final day of the 2012 Australian Open of Surfing.
Thousands of spectators flocked to Manly Beach for 9 days of surf, skate and other ocean-side festivities. Congrats to surf champs Matt Banting (a huge, unexpected Double-W), Sally Fitzgibbons and Nikki Van Dijk. And hats-off to 16-yr old Brazilian Pedro Barros for taking top honors in the Beach Bowl-skate comp, ahead of all-stars like Bucky and Bob. -AB
